VANCOUVER, BC - February 12, 2004 - A new Vancouver based company has merged film set design, interior decorating and general home improvement techniques and is helping home sellers maximize the selling price and speed the sale of their properties.
Known as DEKORA Staging, Inc., the new company is established by Barbara Rae, a well-known BC business figure having held high-profile positions including CEO of Adia Canada Ltd., Chancellor of Simon Fraser University and directorships at Xerox, CIBC and Noranda, Ron Sowden a veteran of the British Columbia film industry with senior crew experience on major productions for Disney, 20th Century Fox, Universal and Columbia and John Carter, an entrepreneur with over a decade of business experience in both Canada and the US.
DEKORA's mission is to help home sellers accomplish a more profitable and faster sale by enhancing the buyer appeal of their properties. DEKORA draws on the recognized business and design expertise of its founders to deliver a suite of professional services known as "home staging". DEKORA's services range from consultations with home sellers to creating a fully staged home - incorporating both interior and exterior enhancements.
